System Requirements for Budget Analysis Platform
Our platform works across most modern devices and browsers. But there are some technical bits worth knowing before you dive in. This isn't about gatekeeping — it's about making sure your experience is smooth from day one.
We've tested extensively with businesses across Ontario and beyond. What matters most? A stable internet connection and a device from the last five years. The rest we can work with.

Browser Support
We support current versions of major browsers. Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge all work well. Internet Explorer is officially retired, so we don't test against it anymore.
- Chrome 100 or newer
- Firefox 98 or newer
- Safari 15 or newer
- Edge 100 or newer
Auto-updates are your friend here. Most browsers update themselves, which keeps everything running smoothly.
Operating Systems
Your OS matters less than you'd think. We've had clients running everything from Windows 10 to the latest macOS without issues.
- Windows 10, 11, or newer
- macOS 11 Big Sur or newer
- Linux distributions with modern browsers
- ChromeOS for web-based access
Mobile users should be on iOS 14+ or Android 10+ for the best experience with our responsive interface.
Hardware Recommendations
You don't need a powerhouse machine. Any computer from 2020 onwards should handle our platform comfortably. Even older machines work if they meet minimum specs.
- 4GB RAM minimum (8GB recommended)
- Dual-core processor or better
- 1280x720 screen resolution minimum
- 50MB free storage for cached data
Tablets and smartphones work too. We've optimized the interface for screens as small as 375px wide.
Internet Connection
This is where things can get tricky. A stable connection matters more than raw speed. We've seen clients on rural connections work just fine because their internet is consistent.
- 5 Mbps download minimum
- 2 Mbps upload for file transfers
- Stable connection without frequent drops
- Lower latency preferred for real-time updates
The platform caches data locally, so brief disconnections won't lose your work. But for live collaboration features, you'll want a reliable connection.

Real-World Testing from Our Team
I've been setting up clients since 2022, and honestly? The technical requirements are more flexible than they look on paper. We had a manufacturing company in Oshawa running our platform on five-year-old PCs without problems. What breaks things is usually outdated browsers or unstable internet connections — not the hardware itself.
If you're unsure about your setup, reach out before signing up. We can run a quick compatibility check and tell you exactly where you stand. Better to know upfront than discover issues later.
